When her brother Peter pronounces it "chewy!" she decides to sell some to Mr. Peabody. He is less adventurous than Peter, announcing, "It's definitely missing something...either that or it has too much of something else!" Many little misadventures later, Mommy offers to help make a second batch of pink lemonade and this time the only pink ingredient added to the lemons, sugar and water is strawberries. Guess what? It tastes great! Pinkalicious succeeds in her bubble gum business venture and shares her winnings with Peter, not quite equally, but close. "Pinkalicious" is filled with whimsical, imaginative, nostalgic illustrations and should completely engage young readers ages 3-7. Its upbeat message of positive personal empowerment through creativity and the value of play and learning to share are valuable thought-nuggets.
